Have you been there?

The enemy was approaching and certainly far out-numbered the band of would- be solders many of whom were wives and children who had not been trained to fight but to sing. The immediate future appeared dismal as the winds of strife raged with no help in sight.

Where was the leader? Even though, filled with fear, he called upon the strength that can only come from daily and close communion with the Mighty One who has never lost a battle. He set himself to seek His God and reminded His Maker that the eyes of these trembling families were upon Him, and for them there were no options.

God then said, with the beauty that only His power can display “be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s!

And soon it was all over as voices through a mighty anthem confused the marching soldiers resulting in death and destruction.

Not one lived!
And He whispers these same words to your heart as you experience the eye of the storm. Whether COVID 19, an evicting landlord or an employer with bad news. Whatever the battle, stand by for victory for he has promised never to leave nor forsake. Heb. 13:5 (last part)

What about you? Are there options? What is God’s reputation in your life? The storm holds no power over Him who is the creator of the universe and who sent His only son to die just for YOU!
