Give it away, so you can keep it!
The year 1868, the event, commemorating the sacrifice of Civil War soldiers. This “remembering” grew to encompass many who died in service to their country war after war after war! It seemed so much giving!
With the thought of sacrifice is also the reality of bloodshed. So much blood loss, yet still no peace. With profound respect for those sacrificed lives, so many priceless efforts galvanized toward one goal, yet not attained.
What might the solution be? Could it be that the solution is not yet understood so not yet lived? Could it be that the need is for “His Blood” which was freely given, so that keeping might be eternal?
The shedding of His blood leads to life not death- a few texts… His blood:
1..Actually cleanses one from sin… 1 John 1:7 2…Justified sinners for whom Christ died…Rom 8,9
3..Redeems…Eph. Giving somone’s heart to Christ, accepting His blood, leads to being kept by His (keeping) power. This power infuses joy, love, patience, acceptance, time and yes even sacrifice to all who willingly receive it! Perhaps us?
And the outcome….peace not war! The peace that passes all understanding from the God of peace! 2Thess. 3:16
In honor of those who have died and for ourselves may we live theses principles from Him whose blood is life, eternal life!
And to all off you, may this ministry be a source of peace from Him who is peace. Remember we are faith-based and remain in ministry to you because of you.
