Faith in Tight Places – Part 4 Ice-laden and unable to hold its position one moment longer, a very large limb shot downward aimed at a small and very vulnerable modular home. Who or what would be in its deadly path? Storms often appear without warning and when ice accompanies winter storms, even though picturesque, it can wreak widespread devastation! This held true almost one month ago as thousands were caught in the jaws of freezing temperatures and many long dark nights. When at last electric currents met their destinations, and power was restored, could it be that there was still a lack of power? His power? I hope not. Just as when those light-giving lines are severed and darkness invades the world, so does darkness fill the heart when that life-giving connection from on high is severed. Peter understood this reality when in the courtyard as Christ was being abused physically and mentally, he denied Him not once, but three times. John 18: 17-27! Where was the power, who severed the line? In our busy lives as we attempt to draw in a “new normal” may we hold on to the light and the life no matter what confronts us. Purpose in your heart to keep your eyes (heart) fixed on Him who is Light and who is Life! Keep the Word open and He will give you the power in every situation, it is a promise! Praise God that torpedo-like limb missed most of its target! Plunging into the ground only three feet from the roof, my roof! The damage was minor, but the power was major!
